About Me
Mary Catherine Beath is an award-winning vocalist, performer, and educator with extensive experience both on stage and in the studio. She has performed professionally at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center, as well as internationally in Italy, Ireland, and Prague. With a background in both classical voice and musical theatre, she is passionate about helping singers develop strong, healthy, and expressive voices while building confidence as performers.
Mrs. Beath holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and a Musical Theatre Certificate from the University of Kentucky. She continued her advanced vocal studies at Indiana University’s prestigious Jacobs School of Music, where she earned both a Master of Music degree in Voice and a Master’s Certificate in Vocology, specializing in the science and pedagogy of healthy vocal production.
Her accomplishments as a performer include recognition as a Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Mid-South Region Finalist, a Georgina Joshi Fellowship Recipient, and First Place Winner of the Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition.
In addition to her performing career, Mrs. Beath has over a decade of experience teaching and mentoring students of all ages. She currently serves as a High School Gifted and Talented teacher with Scott County Schools in Georgetown, Kentucky, and has taught private voice lessons throughout Central Kentucky at multiple schools and studios. Her teaching combines strong technical foundations with artistry, creativity, and encouragement, helping students grow as confident singers and performers both on and off the stage.
